Kings and Queens and Bishops, Too
Another year older, my friends.
It’s funny, I was thinking last night about what I should wear today.
I mean- it’s your birthday, you should feel amazing, right?
Totally.
I thought about all these fancy schmance dresses, high heels, silky princess things.
But then I thought:
Since it is my birthday, I think I’m going to wear all of my favorite items and just be as absolutely comfortable as humanly possible.
So:
Favorite shirt?
Check.
Comfy jeans:
Check.
New favorite shoes?
Check.
Favorite Blazer cause it’s chilly?
Check.
I mean, as much as I do love dressing up- I feel like this outfit is really one of the few compilations that I would be 100% happy wearing every single day for the rest of my life.
Not super exciting, but very, very pleasing.
And tomorrow night is birthday dinner night, so believe me- I will dress up.
It’s kind of nice that all the fun, fancy things are tomorrow, and I can just be exactly what I want to be today.
.
.
.
.
.
And do the happy birthday dance, of course.
Oxfords: DSW :: Jeans: Forever21 :: Shirt: Thrifted :: Blazer: Thrifted
And I had to take a candid iPhone pic to show you guys the downright, fucking amazing gift that my wonderful boss gave me this morning:
Look at that brooch and those earrings!!!!
It is an amazingly beautiful vintage Coro jewelry set.
I wish I had this guy here to take a better photo, but I will most likely wear them to dinner tomorrow anyway.
The earrings remind me of little snowflake flowers.
Snowflake flowers don’t really exist, but if they did- they would definitely look like this.
Ahhhhmazing.

and Bishops, too
Want to wish
the best to you.
So, wish-day
wash-day
Whattaya say?
Your birthday?
Happy Birthday
to you!
That was a song we would sing in Elementary School.
Just one of those things I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
Now you can, too.
Except you don’t know the tune.
So you can’t exactly carry it.
Nice pun, right?
Whatever, it’s my birthday.
