Well now.
We finally got some sunshine up in here.
Actually.
The city was buried in fog when I woke up, but by the time I was headed out the sun decided to pop in.
Hey, sun.
Actually.
I think it was the precise moment that I put these shoes on that the sun came out.
Sun fucking loves these shoes.
Dontcha Sun?
And here we go.
Into the weekend.
These days weekends=packing.
But we got some beers and the record player so it should hopefully be somewhat enjoyable actually.
It should hopefully be somewhat enjoyable actually.
Sorry.
Just keep trying to tell myself that.
And I guess that’s really all there is.
Well.
I finished Wind-Up Bird Chronicle.
It was my first Haruki Murakami experience and I have to say…
It was awesome.
So awesome, in fact that I am now reading Norwegian Wood {see sidebar}.
Just started but already can’t put it down.
Haruki: A+!
Pumps: Macy’s (Kensie Girl) :: Jeans + Feather {Pocketsquare} Hair Clip: UrbanO :: Shirt + Blazer: Thrifted
So with that friends, I bid you all the most good book readingest, doing something insane but succeedingest, but nothing that causes bleedingest, dancing and taking the leadingest, getting great advice and heedingest weekends of your lives!

Looooooooooove your shoes.
Ahhh the shoooooes! Love em – I need more highlighter colors in my life.

I LOVE THOSE SHOES. Happy Friday! That is all.
save that book for me. i want to read it.
It’s on the iPad unfortunately. Too bad we can’t share ebooks….
*gasp* your hair! it looks black – that would freaking rock! short and black and sleek, like ottally badass, yaknowwhatimsayin!
Sweet Jesus!
Today I executed a swift and brutal faceplant while attempting to pick up a pice of litter in the street and juggle a cup of coffee, an armload full of files, and my laptop, in 7″ heels.
My knee is banged up, my heels are scuffed, and my laptop has a big ol’ crack in the casing…
But I didn’t spill a drop of coffee, and your blog just loaded licketty-split. Its a Christmas miracle.
Also, those shoes just burned out my retinas with goodness. And isn’t Murakami interesting? I always come out of his books feeling like I’ve just emerged from the rabbit hole, and desperately craving Top Ramen. I think Kafka on the Shore is my favorite. I read it two years ago, and I still catch myself waiting for my cat to talk to me.
aah goodness, I was planning on wearing something disturbingly similar tonight. As I type this I have on a towel on my head and a white button down. you look better though! <3
why the hell WOULDN’T the sun love those shoes??? so fabulous. and so is this whole ensemble. it seems so classically haiku. ya know? love the slicked back hair and menswear but then BAM! sex shoes. sex shoes that the sun loves.
Congratulations on your first Murakami experience, you will be addicted. Trust me on this one, it happens. I’ve read every book he’s written including his short stories, and I HATE SHORT STORIES. Next on your list should be Kafka On The Shore, it’s epic.
putting limitations on doing things that may cause me to bleed, is really going to impede my weekend plans. I am what the kids call “clumsy”, and cause myself bodily harm just walking most days. I will do my best for you though.
Enjoy your sunshine and sunny heels.
And down you go into the Murakmai rabbit hole! Norwegian Wood is probably my least favorite of his; I highly recommend A Wild Sheep Chase and Dance, Dance, Dance (in that order as the latter is a continuation of the first).
On to the photos: what can I say? This look makes my androgyny-loving heart go a pitter patter! You look gorgeous!
I love your shoes too. And I’m glad you liked The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle. It’s one of my favourite books. It starts so simply but intriguingly and then builds from there.
I’ve got to read some Haruki. It’s been on my list for a long time, but I haven’t quite gotten around to it yet.
Also, I love this outfit. It’s so simple and classic, but those fabulous shoes just push it over the edge into some major badassery.
I fucking love those shoes too!!!
This is such a classic look. I love every piece. The shoes are awesome!
Woooooaaaah shoes, yeah I can see why the sun would follow them, it’s trying to see the pink surprise underneath!!!
After you’re done with Norwegian Wood, read Dance! Dance! Dance!-that’s my fave from Murakami.
Those shoes are amazing! You look like you belong on the runway. Love it.
I love this outfit, the shoes are amazing!!xx
